Sponsorship

The way it works is simple; the people chosen to receive your contribution are hand picked and carefully vetted (only the poorest people in the greatest need benefit from your donation); you then agree to set up a standing order for a particular family or individual; the money is credited into our UK account then transferred abroad where it is paid direct to the chosen recipients.

ideally this is done through the banking system but when that isn't possible it is hand delivered by one of our representatives on an ongoing, monthly basis.

Volunteering Your Skills

This job involves brain storming fundraising ideas that will help the Charity raise its public profile and also help gain funds to help us continue with our work. It will also involve the promoting of events and contacting local schools and youth clubs, giving them information about the charity and encouraging them to get involved. It will also involve liaising with the events organiser and taking jobs delegated to them in order to help big events run smoothly.

Events Organiser

The events organiser will manage big Charity events and liaise with the fundraising team. They will be responsible for overseeing that big events run smoothly and are handled in a professional manner. The events organiser will be backed up by members of the fundraising team who will help with organisation and publicity of events.

Online Seller

The job of the online seller is to manage our eBay sales online, checking them regularly and making sure we don't loose any credibility with our customers. They will be expected to work closely with the delivery person.

Delivery Person

The delivery person's job is to pick up goods and photograph them before we can advertise them online. Their job will also be to work as a team with the online seller to make sure everything runs smoothly. Once the goods are sold it will be their job to send the goods to the post office on time. We are looking for at least 2 people to volunteer for this post.

Networker

It is the Networker's job to contact local businesses and ask them for support in sponsoring our Charity or donating goods for us to sell to raise money for the Charity. It will also be their job to build relations with in the local community and give talks about the Charity in local schools, churches and youth groups etc.

Up for the challenge? Then phone Phill on 07766657426.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Fundraising Ideas

We've compiled below a list of ten popular fundraising ideas that you might like to try … any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Visit the schools in your area, asking them to hold a non-school uniform day to raise money.
  • Collect all unwanted household items from friends and family and have a car boot sale.
  • Approach churches and youth groups and ask them if they can help in any way (an example might be to hold a car wash day for us).
  • Help us find 100 people to join a 100's club by paying in £12.00 a year to be entered into a monthly draw with a £30.00 first prize and a £10.00 second prize.
  • Ask family and friends to donate items that either you or we can sell on eBay. For friends who are already selling their own items on eBay, let them know EETEP is fully registered with MissionFish. You could request they kindly donate a percentage of their sales to us.
  • Hold a coffee morning for us–you could include a raffle!
  • You could hold a sponsored event for us or ask someone who takes part in walks, cycle rides or any sports event to help us raise money through sponsorship.
  • We have football cards that can be filled in and a cash prize given out. They have around 40 boxes at £1.00 each with a prize of £15.00.
  • Approach friends, family, businesses etc. and ask them to donate through a standing order.
  • EETEP welcomes anyone who wishes to help out in any way. We will provide you with all the help and information you need to get started, so please get in touch and help us out if you can.

On Yer' Bike!

Are you doing the 57 mile Manchester to Blackpool cycle ride? If the answer is yes then EETEP would like to hear from you. We are asking for riders to raise money via sponsorship to help us continue with our work. If riding isn't your thing, then help us by sponsoring one of our riders–every penny helps! A new sponsorship form for 2008 will be posted shortly.

The 100's Club

We are appealing to our supporters to help us get a 100's club started as a fundraiser for EETEP. It's very easy to get started: we require 100 people to pay £12.00 a year into the club and each month we have a draw. There are 2 prizes that are paid out: a £30.00 first prize and a £10.00 second prize. If you are interested in joining please complete the sign-up form below. Up to now we have about 50 places left and until these are filled we cannot get it off the ground. How many places you take is up to you. When we have the 100 places filled we will contact you for the £12.00.
